THE LUCY RING PREMIERE VIDEO FOR "MAKE IT RAIN"
SELF-TITLED EP OUT NOW ON YELLOW YEAR RECORDS
SoCal band The Lucy Ring who just released their debut self-titled EP on Yellow Year Records have today shared their video for single "Make It Rain" off of the EP. Relixpremiered it and noted the video "feels altogether appropriate for All Hallows" Eve. Tijuana filmmaker Luis Mercado directed the video which pays homage to Alejandro Jodorowsky's film El Topo along with spaghetti westerns. It includes a brief cameo from Shorty Rossi, the star of the Animal Planet show Pit Boss."
The Lucy Ring EP was produced by Charlotte Kemp-Muhl and recorded at Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono's private studio in upstate, NY. Charlotte invited the band up to track to tape upon hearing some demos she liked.
The Seventh Hex gave us the first listen of the EP last week and noted, "Throughout the course of the band's debut EP, the compositions astonish with an unmistakable presence whilst evoking feelings of observation and cordiality"
